GapFix is available on Apple Watch as a companion app, plus iOS/iPadOS home screen widgets. This guide covers setting up Apple Watch, using widgets, and accessing your learning information from glances without opening the full app.
Setting Up Apple Watch
Install GapFix on your Apple Watch:
Requirements:
- Apple Watch Series 4 or later
- watchOS 8.0 or later
- iPhone with GapFix app installed and updated
- Both devices signed into the same iCloud account
To install GapFix on Apple Watch:
- On your iPhone, open the Watch app
- Go to the App Library tab
- Search for "GapFix"
- Tap "Install" next to GapFix
- On your Apple Watch, you'll see an install notification
- Tap "Install" on the watch
- GapFix is now on your watch
After installation:
- Open GapFix on your Apple Watch
- Log in with your GapFix credentials
- Your progress syncs automatically from iPhone
- Watch interface loads your data

Apple Watch limitations:
- Cannot complete full lessons (screen too small)
- Limited to progress viewing and notifications
- Primary learning must be done on iPhone/iPad/Android

Apple Watch Notifications
Get learning reminders on your wrist:
Notification types on watch:
- Daily lesson reminder (customizable time)

Managing watch notifications:
- On iPhone, open Watch app
- Go to Notifications tab
- Find GapFix in the list
- Customize notification settings
- Choose which types to receive
- Set custom alerts for watch
Setting reminder time:
- On iPhone, open GapFix app
- Go to Settings > Notifications
- Tap "Daily Lesson Reminder"
- Set your preferred time
- Notification sends to both iPhone and watch

Installing widgets:
- Long-press on your iPhone home screen
- Tap the "+" button in the bottom left
- Scroll down and select "GapFix"
- Choose your widget size:
- Tap "Add Widget"
- Add multiple widgets to different screens
Available widgets:
- Daily Lesson Reminder: Shows today's lesson
- Progress Widget: GapFixScore and current streak
- Achievements Widget: Recently unlocked achievements
- Leaderboard Widget: Your ranking
- XP Counter: XP earned today
- Booster Widget: Available 5-minute boosters
Lock screen widgets (iOS 16+):
- Long-press your lock screen
- Tap "Customize"
- Tap the "+" button
- Select "GapFix"
- Choose lock screen widget:
- Tap "Add"
