Mobile App Download
GapFix is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android, letting you learn anywhere. Download the app, log in with your GapFix account, and pick up learning exactly where you left off on any device. Your progress syncs seamlessly across all your devices.
System Requirements
Before downloading, verify your device meets minimum requirements:
iOS:
- iOS 14.0 or later
- iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Minimum 150 MB free storage (200 MB recommended)
- Internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
Android:
- Android 10.0 or later
- Minimum 150 MB free storage (200 MB recommended)
- Google Play Store access
- Internet connection (WiFi or cellular)
Downloading on iOS
GapFix is available on the Apple App Store.
To download:
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap the search icon at the bottom
- Search for "GapFix"
- Tap the official GapFix app (look for the GapFix logo)
- Tap "Get" then "Install"
- Use Face ID, Touch ID, or enter your Apple ID password
- Wait for installation to complete, then tap "Open" or find the app on your home screen
Finding GapFix on App Store: Search directly for "GapFix" or visit the App Store and browse the Productivity or Education categories.
Downloading on Android
GapFix is available on Google Play.
To download:
- Open Google Play Store on your Android device
- Tap the search icon at the bottom
- Search for "GapFix"
- Tap the official GapFix app
- Tap "Install"
- Review permissions and tap "Install" again
- Wait for installation to complete, then tap "Open" or find the app in your apps list
Finding GapFix on Google Play: Search for "GapFix" or browse the Books & Reference or Education categories.
Initial Setup
After installation, opening GapFix for the first time prompts setup:
Sign In: Use your GapFix email and password, or sign in with Google or Apple if you created your account using those services.
Permissions: The app requests permission for notifications. Accept to receive reminders about your learning plan and streak progress. You can modify notification settings anytime in Settings.
Syncing: Your profile, learning plan progress, completed Boosters, achievements, and all other data sync immediately.
Download Preferences: For the first time, the app asks if you'd like to download content for offline use. You can change this anytime in Settings—ideal if you travel or have limited data.
Features on Mobile
The mobile app includes all core features:
- Dashboard: Overview of your learning progress, GapFixScore, streak, and upcoming lessons
- My Plans: View your active learning plan, daily lessons, and quiz results
- Boosters: Browse, search, filter, and complete Boosters
- Achievements: View unlocked achievements and progress toward new ones
- Library: Access your saved Boosters and collections
- Profile: Edit your profile, view stats, and manage achievements
- Settings: Adjust notifications, learning preferences, privacy, and subscription
The mobile experience is optimized for smaller screens with touch-friendly buttons and readable text. Lessons scale beautifully to your device.
Cross-Device Syncing
Your GapFix account syncs across iPhone, iPad, and Android:
- Start a lesson on your iPhone, finish on your iPad
- Complete a Booster on your phone during lunch, see it marked complete on your dashboard that evening
- Update notification settings on mobile, changes apply everywhere
- Earn XP on your tablet, watch your GapFixScore update across all devices
All syncing happens automatically when connected to the internet. No manual actions required.
Tips for Mobile Success
Turn on Notifications: Allow push notifications to get reminders about your daily lessons. Many users schedule these for their usual learning time.
Download for Offline: If you commute without reliable internet, use Settings to download lessons for offline completion. You'll earn credit when you reconnect.
Use Landscape Mode: For longer lessons or videos, rotate to landscape mode for a better viewing experience.
Bookmark Boosters: Save Boosters to your Library and they sync across all your devices.
Customize Your Widget: Some devices let you add a GapFix widget to your home screen showing your current streak and XP progress—a great daily motivator.
Troubleshooting Mobile Issues
App Won't Download: Verify you have at least 150 MB free space. Check your internet connection. Try restarting your device.
Sign-In Issues: Make sure you're using the correct email and password. If you forgot your password, use "Forgot Password" on the login screen.
Notifications Not Working: Check Settings > Notifications and ensure GapFix notifications are enabled. On iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications > GapFix. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > GapFix > Notifications.
Syncing Problems: Ensure a strong internet connection. Log out and log back in (Settings > Account). Slow syncing typically resolves within a few moments of connecting.
Crashes or Freezing: Try closing the app completely and reopening. If issues persist, uninstall and reinstall the app.
Data Usage
GapFix uses minimal data when lessons are not being streamed. Text-based lessons use less data than video. Downloading content for offline use requires data upfront but uses none once downloaded.
