Signing In & Account Security
GapFix is unusual here: you don't need an account to use it. The app starts anonymously — no signup, no name, no email. You scan your CV, get your plan, and start learning without ever creating a login. An account matters in exactly two situations: subscribing to GapFix Pro, and syncing your progress across devices.
When to sign in
- Subscribing to GapFix Pro — a subscription needs an account to attach to.
- Using more than one device — sign in on your iPhone and iPad and your streaks, XP, plans, and progress stay in step.
Until then, feel free to keep learning anonymously. Nothing is held back.
Your sign-in options
When you're ready, GapFix supports four ways to sign in:
- Apple
With Apple, Google, or LinkedIn there's no separate GapFix password to remember — authentication is handled by the provider, protected by whatever security you already have on that account. That's the easiest option for most people.
Email accounts and passwords
If you sign in with email and forget your password, use the forgot-password option on the sign-in screen and we'll send a reset link to your email. If the link doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, and make sure you're using the address you originally signed up with.
Signing out
You can sign out from Settings in the app. Signing out on one device doesn't touch your subscription or your synced data — sign back in anytime and everything is where you left it.
A note on payment security
Your card details never touch GapFix. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store, and Apple handles all payment processing. Anyone claiming to be GapFix and asking for card numbers isn't us.
Locked out?
If you can't get into your account — reset emails not arriving, a provider sign-in misbehaving — write to us at help@gapfix.app and we'll help you sort it out.
