Completing a Plan

Finishing your 90-day learning plan is a significant achievement. Here's what happens at completion and what comes next.

Recognizing Plan Completion

You've completed your plan when you've finished:

  • All 12 weeks of lessons
  • All weekly quizzes
  • Your final plan assessment

Your dashboard notifies you prominently: "Congratulations! Your learning plan is complete!"

Completion Celebration

When you complete your plan, GapFix celebrates your achievement:

Completion Certificate: A professional certificate you can download and add to your LinkedIn or resume. It shows:

  • Your name
  • Plan title and skill focus
  • Completion date
  • Your final GapFixScore and level
  • Statement of achievement

Achievement Unlocked: A special "Plan Master" achievement badge is unlocked, earning you significant XP (typically 200-500 XP depending on difficulty).

Streak Reset Option: Your streak doesn't automatically reset. You can choose to maintain it by continuing with Boosters or a new plan.

Leaderboard Milestone: If you're in a league, completing a plan earns you bonus XP and a leaderboard boost.

Completion Statistics

At the moment of completion, you'll see a comprehensive stats screen:

Learning Journey Summary:

  • Total lessons completed
  • Total XP earned
  • Lessons completed per week (shows your consistency)
  • Average lesson completion time
  • Quizzes taken and average score
  • Weeks completed (typically 12)
  • Total time invested in the plan

Skill Progress:

  • Your starting GapFixScore (Day 1)
  • Your ending GapFixScore (completion day)
  • Score improvement (e.g., +28 points)
  • Your level progression (e.g., "Level 2 → Level 8")

Topic Mastery:

  • Topics you mastered (80%+ average quiz score)
  • Topics you developed (60-79% scores)
  • Topics for future deepening (below 60%)

Notable Achievements:

  • Longest streak during the plan
  • Perfect quiz scores (if any)
  • Weekly awards earned
  • League promotions (if applicable)

Plan Reflection

Part of completion is reflecting on what you learned:

Reflection Questions:

  • What skill or concept had the biggest impact on your work?
  • How have you applied at least three things from this plan in your actual job?
  • What was most challenging? Most rewarding?
  • What area would you like to deepen further?
  • How has your professional confidence changed?

Your answers don't affect anything—they're for you to capture your thinking. You can choose to share them with mentors or coaches if helpful.

Achievements Unlocked During & After Completion

As you finished your plan, you likely unlocked special achievements:

Possible Achievements:

  • "Plan Completer" (completed any plan)
  • "Consistent Learner" (engaged every week)
  • "Perfect Week" (100% quiz average for a week)
  • "Streak Master" (maintained 20+ day streak during plan)
  • "Level Up Specialist" (advanced 5+ levels during plan)
  • "Community Builder" (if you referred friends or participated in leagues)

Each achievement adds to your GapFixScore and earns XP.

Your Completed Plan Data

After completion, your plan remains accessible:

Access Completed Plans:

  1. Go to My Plans
  2. Scroll to "Archived Plans" or "Completed Plans" section
  3. Your completed plan is listed with completion date

Reviewing Past Learning:

  • Re-read any lesson
  • Review quiz scores and feedback
  • Download resources again
  • Reference templates and materials
  • Scroll through progress you made week by week

Your completed plan serves as a reference library for concepts you learned.

Next Steps After Completion

You have several options:

Option 1: Start a New Plan

Many users continue learning on a new topic or skill area.

To Start a New Plan:

  1. Go to Dashboard > My Plans
  2. Tap "Create New Plan" or "Start Another Plan"
  3. Answer questions about your next skill focus
  4. AI generates your new 90-day plan (within 24 hours)
  5. New plan becomes active when ready

Your new plan covers different skills, building your expertise across multiple areas.

Option 2: Deepen Your Current Topic (Premium)

If you want to go deeper in the skill you just completed (e.g., you completed "Leadership Fundamentals," now want "Advanced Leadership"):

  1. Request a plan focused on advanced content in the same skill area
  2. Note in your plan preferences: "Deep dive rather than new topic"
  3. Your new plan will include advanced applications, case studies, and specialized scenarios

Option 3: Take a Break

If you need a learning pause:

  1. Go to Settings > Learning Preferences
  2. Toggle "Pause all plans"
  3. No new plans become active, no notifications sent
  4. Resume anytime by toggling it back on

Option 4: Maintain Current Plan as Reference

Some users keep their completed plan active in the background as a reference while they start a new one (Premium feature allows multiple plans).

This gives you quick access to completed lessons, templates, and materials while learning new skills.

Applying Your Learning

The real value of your plan emerges after completion—in how you apply it:

Share Your Learning: Tell colleagues, mentors, or your manager about what you learned. Teaching others deepens your own understanding.

Use Templates: Pull up templates you learned from the plan and apply them in your work. A delegation matrix, feedback framework, or decision template becomes a real tool.

Teach Others: Train a colleague or report using frameworks you learned. This reinforces your mastery.

Track Real-World Impact: Over the coming weeks, notice how your new skills show up—better presentations, clearer communication, more confident decisions.

Set 90-Day Goals: After completing a plan, set specific goals for applying what you learned over the next 90 days.

Premium Features at Completion

If you're a Premium member:

Multiple Plans: Start a new plan while keeping your completed plan active. You can have up to 3 active plans simultaneously.

Advanced Resources: Access advanced versions of topics you completed if you want to specialize.

Plan Personalization: Request custom plans focused on your unique role and goals beyond standard plan templates.

Certificate Sharing: Share your completion certificate with your network or professional profile.

Tips for Post-Plan Success

Don't Forget: Within 2 weeks of completion, revisit one key lesson and immediately apply one concept. This prevents forgetting.

Track Long-Term Application: Note specific instances where you applied what you learned. This motivates future learning.

Recommend GapFix: If you found value in your plan, recommend GapFix to colleagues. Teaching others about your learning reinforces it.

Plan Your Next Learning: Don't wait months before starting a new plan. Momentum matters. Start a new plan within 2-4 weeks of completion.

Refresh Periodically: Every 6 months, revisit your completed plan's materials to refresh concepts and catch what you might have missed initially.

Troubleshooting Completion Issues

Quiz Not Appearing as Complete: Ensure you've answered all questions and submitted. Sometimes quiz submission takes a moment to process.

Certificate Not Generating: Certificates generate within 24 hours. Check your email for a "Download Your Certificate" link.

Stats Seem Wrong: Our system calculates stats accurately, but if they seem off, screenshot the issue and contact support.

Can't Access Completed Plan: Archived plans are accessible under "Archived Plans" section. If you can't find it, contact support with your plan name and completion date.
