Reassessment: Re-tuning Your Plan
A plan written on day one is a forecast. By week four, GapFix knows vastly more about you than it did at your first scan — and reassessment is how the plan catches up with the evidence.
When it's offered
At milestone weeks in your plan, the plan screen offers a free reassessment. You don't need to hunt for it — when you reach a milestone, the offer appears.
What it looks at
Reassessment doesn't ask you to re-take a quiz or re-upload your CV. It reads the real learning evidence you've already generated:
- Recall per skill — what your Daily Practice reviews show is actually sticking
- Quiz accuracy — how you're performing inside lessons
- Completions — what you've finished, and at what pace
- Check-ins — what you've reported in your weekly check-ins
That's a far richer picture than any snapshot assessment could give.
What it proposes
Based on the evidence, GapFix proposes rewritten versions of your pending weeks only, shown as a per-week before/after diff — for each upcoming week, exactly what would change and why. Skills you've clearly mastered get less repetition; skills with soft recall get more targeted work.
Then it's your call: apply the new version, or keep your current plan. Nothing changes without your say-so.
What it never touches
Reassessment never rewrites completed or in-progress weeks. Your history stays intact — only the road ahead gets re-planned.
Pace Suggestions
Sometimes the evidence points at pacing rather than content — your stated weekly hours and your real rhythm have drifted apart. In that case, GapFix may show a "Pace Suggestion" instead of changing your hours for you. Like everything else here, it suggests; you decide.
Extra reassessments
Milestone-week reassessments are free. If you want one between milestones, you can spend 1,200 XP for an extra reassessment credit — you can hold at most 1 at a time, and it's offered contextually. Note what XP is doing here: buying a planning tool, never content. Lessons and Boosters can't be bought with XP under any circumstances.
